Finally a decision
I've finally decided what my project and yarn will be:
The Icarus Shawl from Interweave Knits will be the project.
And I'll use the Raspberry Swirl yarn I bought from Carol last month.
I will admit that I'm not the world's best lace knitter, but the photos of the completed shawls that I have seen are just too pretty not to give it a try. :-)

This is a great project for a not so great lace knitter - the pattern starts of relatively easy - a triangle with blocks of stockinette separated by columns of yarnovers. You may get a little bored but persevere because the finishing charts are more challenging, more interesting, and the finished shawl is beautiful.

That yarn looks like raspberry ice cream! This is the only problem with Carol's yarn: I always want to eat or snif it!
